My Current Altar & Magickal Jewelry.

So this my altar currently. I honor Hekate, Anubis, Kuan Yin, Artemis, Aphrodite, Loki, and the Dragon Deities. I also laid out stones with my own healing colors.

Healing colors are colors one finds comforting and when gazed upon lifts the soul. So I chose stones not only for their own correspondences but also for their UPG color correspondences that I created.

Then today I created a couple of things of magickal jewelry with and for Hekate.

The first is a snake necklace with lapis (spiritual communication, Hekate’s stone, and heightens psychic abilities), obsidian (protection, night magick), aventurine (communing with the divine, claireaudience), blue quartz (enlightenment, magick heightens) then paired with skulls to represent death and cloisonne beads to represent the beauty in death.

The next necklace was inspired by a reading I did with her where the mentioned the power of pentagrams. I don’t often think about them much but I had forgotten the power they wield especially in the context of using them with Hekate. I used smokey quartz (grounding and earth magick) and labradorite (clairesentience and divination) to connect with Hekate and her caves.

Then this Lil tarot bracelet was just something cute inspired by her watching over my readings.

Hope this inspired you to make magickal jewelry too!

Then lastly. I was looking through Etsy for prayer cards when I remembered lol I can draw so even though it’s hard for me to draw in tiny I feel pretty good about it despite it not being my best work. I chose to do 1 torch and 1 snake instead of the traditional 2 to represent how she guides me through her mysterious caves.

I’m considering drawing and writing a Hekate an oracle deck but idk if my adhd will allow. Maybe after my 30 day challenge thing.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post and happy witching!!

Using Chaos Magick for Healing.

So I’m going to start off saying that I believe chaos is the standard for the universe and everyone tries to make sense of it trying to put it in order.

This isn’t a bad thing, order is nice, but time always destroys order and the cycle of building up our order only to be let down when change happens and chaos ensues.

I used to be afraid of the Tower card in my readings because the imagery always seemed negative. But in actuality we need the chaos of change. Look at the Barbie movie (spolier) without Ken introducing patriarchy to Barbie land she would not have discovered who she truly was.

So how do you use chaos magick in the first place? The one thing I do is create my own correspondences. To me every plant and rock can be used for good or for evil. White and Black magick, if you understand the herstory, is rooted in racism and are not synonymous with good and evil. I mean plenty if white witches burn white sage even though many Indigenous Peoples have said to stop as the plant nears extinction.

So is chaos a good or a bad thing? It’s both and neither. One thing I did was meditate on that paradox and found that the healing is when you embrace the chaos. Roll with it not against it.

Loki is a deity that really puts this in perspective for their followers. Healing through the trauma of when chaos wasn’t beneficial starts with accepting but to get there you have to go through the stages of grief.

Grieve over the trauma. As hard and beyond uncomfortable as it can get to mourn the the things that happen to you then allow the magick to ensue. Create spells to help you mourn and decipher your emotions. For me I tend to be a mood mimic, or at least I was until I decided that it was OK to feel my emotions in the moment without it blending with others. Yes, this can be a selfish thing, but it’s also for me at least a survival technique in order to process.

With the chaotic mess that is our own minds sometimes, by allowing the mess to mess we can see how our minds evolve naturally without our will to order it. Right now my memories feel like scattered piles if parchment rather than the nice order of shelves and labels. At first I thought it was a bad thing.

In a way I’m still sad that I can’t remember the things that I used to. Even happier memories. But I’ve learned to adapt. Adapting to chaos is the 2nd rule in my book on how to heal with chaos.

I am a survivor of sexual assault. Christianity told me to be greatful for it and forgive my rapist and abusers. Chaos tells me to feel everything that needs to felt and then don’t let it go but appreciative of learning from it. Am I glad it happened? No. But I do feel more powerful knowing what I know now.

I allowed the chaos to happen but learning how to surf the waves of chaos isn’t easy and it takes practice.

So wherever you are in your shadow work, remember that though chaos will hurt you it can also comfort you. It’s nice to know that there is a cycle of destruction and rebirth. I was a born again Christian but now I’m a phoenix risen from the ashes of an old self. Like how a reptile sheds its skin so does chaos allow me to rid away the emotions I don’t need. Like extreme guilt.

Chaos magick is more than throwing the magickal grimoires of the past away and creating new magick. It’s first and foremost about accepting that the chaos isn’t predictable and that you have every possibility to fail. But if failure happens ride with it. Use it as if it were your goal in the first place because then it’s seen as a step in the right direction rather than a step back.

Healing through chaos can be both fun and depressing but it’s worth the effort when you see the results. When you’re ready to find three random objects in your home and use them in a spell toward your goal you create your own brand of magick while riding the waves of chaos.

Hope this helped anyone curious or practicing chaos magick. Happy witching!

I Have a Problem and I’m not Ashamed.

So like any writer witch I have tons of journals. Both for stories and for witchy shit. Tonight I just want to show you the witchy journals just because.

I know it’s been…a while since I updated. But I’m getting back to it and honestly it has helped my mental health to reconnect with my spiritual side.

The first journal with the wolf is my grimoire mostly in my own secret language as you see here.

The second is my 1st book of shadows or rather I call it also my spread journal where I do tarot, oracle, and iching spreads.

The 3rd is my art journal where I draw my spells. This one is a work in progress but the spell is for luck and knowledge.

The 4th is my prayer journal where I write my prayers to my Deities and spirits.

The 5th is my 2nd book of shadows or my mundane journal where I write the day to day of my magickal doings.

The 6th is my rune journal where I do rune spreads also dedicated to Loki.

Then I have my journal dedicated to Hekate where I do the 30 day challenge as well as do our own shadow work and spreads together.

And that is just a slice of my magickal workings. Do you have journals too for your witchy journey? If not take my word for it you can never have too many.
