An Appreciation Ode to Apollo

Graceful Apollo plays his lyre,
For his sister’s majestic deer,
His boyish looks glows in the setting sun,
Waiting for his poetic music to be done.

Apollo waits for me, amongst the evergreen trees,
Until he sees behind the pond reed,
Me offering him honey and mead.

Apollo, it is you I agape and adore,
Whilst you sit there singing more,
Beautifully than the lyre you pluck,
And providing Artemis’ woods with energetic luck.

Lovely Apollo, thank you for your love,
Like Aphrodite’s dove,
Your graceful demeanor ever so demure,
Will, in my heart, endure!
